The C230 Kompressor debuted in 2002 -- one year after the second-generation C-Class debuted -- as a two-door hatchback with a 193-horsepower, supercharged, four-cylinder engine. The following year, the Kompressor engine came in the C230 sedan as well. The 2005 C230 Kompressor sedan and hatchback had a maintenance reminder system that alerted you when it was time to change the spark plugs.
Spark Plug Information
In the 2005 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor, the manufacturer recommends using Bosch No. F6MPP332, or equivalent spark plugs. The C230 Kompressor requires a spark plug gap of 0.031 inch. These are double-platinum spark plugs and their gaps are not adjustable, so exchange any incorrectly gapped plugs for new ones. The C230 requires between 18 and 22 foot-pounds of torque when installing the plugs.
