The 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix had some pretty neat features for its era, including an auto-dimming rearview mirror, delay-off headlights, a heads-up display, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and automatic temperature control. It did not, however, have the automatic on and off headlights that are available on more modern cars, so you have to manually turn off the headlights via an instrument panel-mounted switch.
Turning Off the Headlights
Look to the left of the steering wheel and find the rotary switch that has four settings: an illuminated light bulb, "Off," an illuminated "P" and an illuminated headlight. Turn this rotary switch counterclockwise to the "Off" position to turn the headlights off. To turn the headlights back on, simply turn this switch to the illuminated headlight setting.
