Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Place a link on your page to direct Palm users to the page you have created especially for them.

  2. Step 2

Limit the number of graphics, if any, on a Palm page. Use small box-style graphics for buttons and avoid photographs or large graphics.

  3. Step 3

Reduce content to get your point across without taking up a lot of space. Think of a Palm device like a brochure ' you want to get the most information in the smallest amount of space while maintaining a neat, well-organized look.

  4. Step 4

Use a Table of Contents or Index whenever possible to allow viewers to get straight to the information they want. Make headings brief and concise.

  5. Step 5

Visit sites that specialize in Palm device design and content, such as AvantGo.com. Read the style guide for information on specific tags and scripts that can be used on Palm devices.

  6. Step 6

Download a program such as 3Com's Palm OS Emulator (POSE), which allows you to see what your page will look like from a variety of Palm devices.

Tips & Warnings
  • Most Palm devices use HTML 3.2 tags, but some functions will not be viewable. Always test the page before uploading.
  • Always use an anti-virus program when downloading files or programs from the Internet.
