Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Get a pad of 000 or 0000 (Triple Ot, Quadruple Ot) steel wool.
Step2
Rip off a small portion of steel wool.
Step3
Wad the steel wool into a small ball.
Step4
Rub the rusted area vigorously.
Step5
Wipe away the dust with a clean cloth.

on 11/22/2005 Please accept the voice of bitter experience that steel wool slivers are not pleasant. When using steel wool, wear gloves!
