Things You'll Need:
- Tanglefoot Pest Barriers
- Plastic Knives
- Construction Paper Yellow
- Paper And Binder Clips
-
Step 1
Cut stiff yellow paper into strips 3 inches wide and 7 inches long.
-
Step 2
Unbend large paper clips into 'S' shapes. Pierce the yellow paper with one end of the paper clip to form a hanger.
-
Step 3
Spread Tanglefoot brand pest barrier onto one side of the yellow paper with a plastic knife. (If you spread the Tanglefoot on both sides of the paper, you would have a sticky mess!)
-
Step 4
Hang the homemade traps in the branches of plants infested with aphid, whitefly or other flying insect pests. Yellow sticky traps are also great for capturing fruit flies.
-
Step 5
Remove and replace the traps once they become studded with victims.

on 1/17/2009 I really like the idea, I am going to buy some tanglefoot online tonight. I have whitefly and aphids in my little aqaponics greenhouse... since it's January I can't get ladybugs.
