I hope it's not too late...
I suggest you choose a flattering pair of wide pants, the type which doesn't cling around your derrière or thighs. Dark colours are best and matte material such as suede, raw silk and velvet are beautiful.
For the top, make sure you wear a good bra to enhance your hourglass figure and, if you show your shoulders, keep the thick tops of your arms hidden.
If you can carry it off, wear a corset under your clothes to minimise your waist. Strappy heels and a great hairdo attract attention elsewhere than the middle of your body.
If you have beautiful eyes, a killer smile or perfect hands, use makeup, nail varnish and jewellery to make sure people are looking at what you want to flaunt.
Don't flaunt everything or you'll compete with the Christmas tree.
At the end of the day, unless you say something stupid or get horribly drun

on 1/4/2006 If you're young, beautiful and sexy where a plain dress (black would be best as it is sliming) that is about knee high with a wrap to cover your arms as it is colder in the Winter. Add a glittery scarf or jewelery to doll up the dress.
If you are older and don't want to show much flesh, try a sexy pair of black trousers or a long skirt and a pretty top. Red or green would be best for Christmas, but you can wear a color that suits you best.

on 11/22/2005 Sometimes parties put you in an awkward conversation situation with strangers. After introducing yourself, you can break the ice with a few non-personal questions: "Do you live around here?" "Isn't the tree beautiful?" Or even, "How are you doing with your holiday shopping?"
Do not talk about yourself too long or too much. That's selfish and boring. Instead, talk about their favorite subject - which is them!
Be sure to introduce them to your companion. And say "It has been nice talking with you" as you move on.

on 11/22/2005 Remember when you attend an office party, Less is More! Don't marinate yourself in cologne! You may not be able to smell it, but rest assured, everyone else can. A little spritz in the air above you (not hosing yourself down) is more then enough.
