Whether they're big or small, have jewels in their belly buttons or not, sport hair of yellow or turquoise or pink or orange, Trolls - those perennial childhood favorites - have one thing in common: They all come naked. Here's how to help them out.

    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Dressmaker's Measuring Tapes
    • Ribbons Or String
    • Felt
    • Glitter
    • Glues
    • Sewing Needles
    • Thin Cardboard
    • Worktables
    • Scissors
    • Paper And Pencils
    • Rulers
    1. Troll Dress or Robe

      • 1

Cut a circle out of felt. Its diameter should be twice as long as the Troll is tall.

      • 2

Fold in quarters and cut a neck hole (a small one - cut a vertical slit so that it will go over the head).

      • 3

        Pull over the Troll's head.

      • 4

        Mark armholes and cut.

      • 5

Trim and style to taste (cut a scoop or V-neck; fringe the bottom to make a hula skirt or trim for a mini; fold the neck down to make a lapel or tuck - pinch excess and fold down - to make a real neckline).

      • 6

Tie at the waist with ribbon or string.

      • 7

Decorate with glitter, felt pens or anything else you've got, if you wish.

      Troll Loincloth

      • 1

        Fold felt in half.

      • 2

Cut a double, tall (about 1 1/2 times as tall as your Troll) right triangle with the long side on the fold.

      • 3

Slit the fold about halfway down starting at the tall point.

      • 4

Tie these ends together over one shoulder.

      • 5

Tie the other triangle tips together at the Troll's opposite hip.

      Troll Sandals

      • 1

Stand the Troll up on a piece of felt.

      • 2

Draw around one of its feet.

      • 3

Double the felt and cut out (you'll have two duplicate pieces of Troll-foot-shaped felt).

      • 4

Use one of these as a pattern to cut the same shape in thin cardboard.

      • 5

Sandwich the cardboard between the two matching felt shapes and check to make sure the edges are even (trim carefully if necessary).

      • 6

Cut a strap - a piece about 3/8 inch wide and long enough to loop all the way around the Troll's foot.

      • 7

Spread glue on both sides of the cardboard. Press the cardboard down on one piece of felt (this is the sole). Loop the strap and press down on the glue and then finish the sandwich with the other piece of felt (this is now the insole, cushioning the Troll's foot and holding the strap in place).

      • 8

        Repeat with the other foot.

      • 9

        Allow to dry.
