Get rolling with some forward momentum.

  2. Step 2

Bend your knees, and crouch down, ready to spring up.

  3. Step 3

Jump straight up, lifting your knees to your chest as high as is comfortable.

  4. Step 4

Land with your feet shoulder width apart. Hold your arms out as needed for balance.

Tips & Warnings

  • In-line skating is all about jumping. Learn to jump on and off everything and anything that is hard and smooth. Be creative.
  • Always wear knee pads and wrist guards when in-line skating.

on 11/22/2005 When skating, make sure that there is no part of your trousers or top that can catch on your buckle on your skate, as this stops you from putting your leg down to land and really hurts when you hit the floor.
