One of the great things about in-line skates is that they're attached to your feet, which makes them great for jumping.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • In-line Skate Axles
  • In-line Skate Spacers
  • In-line Skate Wheels
  • In-line Skates
  • In-line Skating Gear
  • In-line Skating Helmets
  • In-line Skating Protective Gear Sets
  • Wrist Guards
Step1
Get rolling with some forward momentum.
Step2
Bend your knees, and crouch down, ready to spring up.
Step3
Jump straight up, lifting your knees to your chest as high as is comfortable.
Step4
Land with your feet shoulder width apart. Hold your arms out as needed for balance.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to jump straight up, not forward or backward, even when jumping onto something. Let your momentum take care of moving you forward.
  • In-line skating is all about jumping. Learn to jump on and off everything and anything that is hard and smooth. Be creative.
  • Always wear knee pads and wrist guards when in-line skating.

on 11/22/2005 When skating, make sure that there is no part of your trousers or top that can catch on your buckle on your skate, as this stops you from putting your leg down to land and really hurts when you hit the floor.
