How to Use Netscape Navigator With America Online

You can run Netscape Navigator while signed on to AOL. Browse with both of them by alternating screens.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Access
  • Computers
  • America Online
  • Netscape Navigator
  • Netscape Navigator
  1. Step 1

    Sign on to AOL.

  2. Step 2

    Minimize the screen by clicking on the minus sign in the top right corner of the window.

  3. Step 3

    Launch your Netscape browser from the desktop or programs menu.

  4. Step 4

    Alternate between AOL and Netscape by minimizing and maximizing the two windows.

Tips & Warnings
  • You must first sign on to AOL to be able to launch your Netscape browser.
  • You need to stay connected to AOL to be able to browse with the separate Netscape browser.
  • To close Netscape, just click the X in the top right corner of the Navigator screen.
