Gather several people into a group and form a circle.
Step2
While singing the "Hokey Pokey" song, follow the directions.

Put your left leg into the circle.
Step4
Put your left leg out behind you.
Step5
Put your left leg in again and shake it all about.
Step6
Put your elbows at your sides with your hands about shoulder height and do the hokey pokey, turning clockwise in a circle and alternately raising your hands a few inches.
Step7
Stop turning and clap your hands while singing, "That's what it's all about."
Step8
Repeat the entire dance, but change the body part to your right leg, then left arm, followed by your right arm, head, and finally your backside.
Tips & Warnings
Don't try this on skis or while operating heavy machinery.

Take the hula hoop around your hips. Swing the hula hoop around in a circle. Shake your hips in a small circle. Keep practicing for a few minutes at a time. In no time, you'll know how to hula hoop really well.
