All 50 states require children to be vaccinated before entering daycare. Vaccinating your child is vital to insuring good health.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Vaccinate your child against hepatitis B within her first two months. If you're positive for hepatitis B, get her an injection of immune globulin within a week, or even within 12 hours, if possible.

  2. Step 2

Vaccinate her against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (DPT); haemophilus type B influenza (Hib); and polio (IPV) at two months and then at four months of age. At six months, she should get vaccinated again, for everything but polio.

  3. Step 3

Have her vaccinated against measles, mumps and rubella at 12-15 months of age. If your pediatrician recommends it, have her vaccinated against chicken pox as well.

  4. Step 4

Have your child get another DPT shot between 15 and 18 months old, and have her take an oral polio vaccine and get vaccinated against Haemophilus Type B between 12 and 18 months old.

  5. Step 5

Vaccinate your child for chicken pox at 15 to 18 months old, if she hasn't been already, and if her pediatrician recommends it.

  6. Step 6

Vaccinate your child between the ages of four and six years with OPV polio vaccine, an MMR vaccine and a DPT vaccine.
