From Quick Guide: Racquetball
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Racquetball Goggles
  • Racquetball Rackets
  • Racquetballs
  • Water Bottles With Squeeze Caps
  1. Step 1

Choose a partner of similar or equal playing ability if possible. This will make playing more enjoyable.

  2. Step 2

Have a strategy before entering the court.

  3. Step 3

Split the court down the middle with each player taking a side. If you're both right-handed, the player with the strongest backhand will want to take the left side of the court. If one person on the team is left-handed, allow that person to take the left side of the court.

  4. Step 4

Decide on a service rotation before the match begins.

  5. Step 5

Stick to the service rotation throughout the game.

  6. Step 6

Make sure you and your partner are inside the service box when serving. When not serving, the teammate stands with his back against the wall until the ball clears the back service line.

  7. Step 7

Be aware of your position in relation to everybody else on the court.

  8. Step 8

Shorten your backswing and follow through to avoid hitting people with your racquet when necessary.

  9. Step 9

Keep score the same as in singles. Matches are decided by a best of three games format. The first two games are played to 15 points and the third game is played to 11 points.

  10. Step 10

Keep cool. Remember that racquetball is just a game and you're having fun with a friend as well as getting a workout.
