Step1
Use either your forehand or backhand for this shot.
Step2
Aim for the front wall corner closest to you. Avoid a cross-court shot because the ball tends to hit the side wall rather than sneak along next to it.
Step3
Keep the racquet face open as you make contact with the ball.
Step4
Hit the ball with varying degrees of power. This shot is difficult to return because of its placement alongside the wall, not because of its speed.
Step5
Overhit the ball if you want it to bounce off the back wall and then hug the side wall as it heads toward the front wall again.
Step6
Be prepared for an awkward bounce off the side wall since this is a hard shot to execute. This could give your opponent an easy return.
Step7
Move to a center-court position after hitting the ball.
