How to Get a Chainsaw in "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City" for PS3
"Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" is a PlayStation 3 (PS3) continuation game for Rockstar games' popular "Grand Theft Auto IV" for the PlayStation 2 game console. It isn't a sequel to the game, but it does contain the same third-person gameplay, familiar settings and graphic violence that made "Grand Theft Auto IV" so popular. One way to experience the more extreme elements in the game is to acquire a chainsaw which can be used as a weapon.

Insert the "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" game disc into your PS3. Begin a new game.

Press "Start" to bring up the game map.

Use the analog stick to search the map for "Portland Island."

Locate the "Liberty City Sawmills" building listed on the island.

Move to a car on the street. Press and hold the "X" button to hijack a car and drive it to the sawmills. Press "X" again to exit the vehicle and enter the sawmills through the open door. The chainsaw will be available.

Press and hold "X" to equip the chainsaw. Attack with the chainsaw by pressing "X" again.
