How to Dress Like Hannah Montana for Spirit Week

Hannah Montana is a character portrayed by country singer and television actress Miley Cyrus. She is known for a flamboyant style that is filled with pink, glitter, glitz and ripped jeans. When Miley is transformed into her alter ego Hannah Montana, the rock star comes out, complete with the correct gear. Dressing like Hannah Montana for a spirit week celebration involves finding the right clothes, wig and attitude.

Instructions

1. Look for pictures of Hannah Montana on the Internet, watch the film "Hannah Montana: The Movie" or check out the Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" for inspiration and to find a look to imitate.

2. Locate a blonde wig with bangs at a department store, wig shop or Halloween store. This is the signature Hannah Montana hair style and it is only when Miley Cyrus puts on the wig that she is transformed into her alter-ego. Curl the wig with a large-barreled curling iron or keep it straight, as Hannah Montana rocks both of these looks. Color a few strands of the wig the school's colors to show your spirit with spray hair dye.

3. Locate a pink or brightly colored T-shirt or top, denim jeans or skirt, and a denim jacket or vest. Use pieces from your own closet or borrow from a friend's closet or visit a local thrift store to find these pieces. Find a T-shirt with your school's mascot, as many times Hannah Montana will wear a rock star shirt that makes her different from the other girls.

4. Cover the T-shirt, jeans and vest or jacket with plenty of glitter, rhinestones and anything that sparkles. The signature Hannah Montana look is bright and stands out from the crowd. Use spray glue to cover the coat with glitter, then locate rhinestones and attach them with fabric glue. Decorate the coat with your school colors, draw a picture of the school's mascot with fabric markers or wear pins featuring your school's name.

5. Distress the jeans by using a razor blade to gently cut holes in the knees, back pockets and along the cuffs. Consider adding additional decorations that reflect those on the jacket or vest.

6. Finish the Hannah Montana look with a rhinestone or glitter encrusted belt, a pair of brightly colored sneakers or flip flops and brightly colored jewelry. Keep your makeup simple by wearing a light eye shadow, pink cheeks and a pink lip. Write your school's initials on your cheek with glitter makeup to show your spirit and pride.
