Embellish a plain and ordinary knit, fabric or plastic headband with glittery gemstones, colorful and flamboyant silk flowers or pretty satin ribbon bows. For variety, create an accessory with interchangeable attachments that will let you decorate the headband with different embellishments to coordinate with your wardrobe or match your mood.   • Fabric glue
  • Imitation gemstones
  • Hook and loop fastener
  • Medium-size silk flowers
  • Satin ribbon bows

      Apply a little bit of fabric glue to the back of 7 to 10 imitation gemstones. Press the gemstones along the length of the headband. Let the glue dry.

      Cut small 1/2-inch squares of hook and loop fasteners. One pair of the fasteners will be needed for each adornment you add.

      Apply a little bit of fabric glue to the back of one piece of the fastener and press it firmly against the headband. Press firmly for a few seconds and then let it dry.

      Apply a little bit of fabric glue to the back center of a medium-size silk flower. Press the silk flower against the complementary piece of the fastener. Press firmly for a few seconds and let it dry.

      Press the fastener side of the silk flower against the fastener on the headband to attach.

      Apply a little bit of glue to the back center of a satin ribbon bow. Press the glued center of the bow against another complementary piece of fastener. Press firmly and the let the glue dry.

      Pull the silk flower off the headband. Press the fastener side of the satin bow against the fastener on the headband.
