How to Flag a Photo in Aperture 3

Aperture 3 is an Apple software program for editing and managing photos. Users are able to filter images according to the metadata assigned to each image. Using Aperture 3's library inspector, a number of filtering options help users sort through and find images. Flagging photos is one means of filtering images. Flagging simply means clicking the flag beside a photo when viewing or editing.

Instructions

      Move your mouse cursor to the top right corner of the photo. A clear flag image will appear under the cursor.

      Click the clear flag to flag the photo. The flag will become orange. Alternatively, press forward slash (/) or click "Metadata," then "Flag" to flag the photo.

      Click the orange flag to unflag the photo, if necessary.

  • Search for photos in Aperture 3 using more detailed information, including the rating, color label, text and keywords associated with the image.
