How to Crop Something From the Web on MacBook

Apple MacBook laptops are factory configured with the Mac OS X operating system, which includes a utility called "Grab." Grab is designed to capture all or a portion of what is displayed on the screen. You can crop whatever is displayed in your Web browser window running on your MacBook and save it as an image, even if you are just cropping text. After the cropped image from the Web has been saved to your computer from the Grab utility, you can save it in a folder, or send it to someone in an email.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a Web browser, then go to the website with the element that you want to crop.

    • 2

Open the "Grab" utility in the Utilities folder.

    • 3

Press Command, Shift and A simultaneously on the keyboard.

    • 4

Drag the cursor over the area of the Web browser to crop it into an image. When the mouse button is released, the selection from the Web has been cropped.

    • 5

Press Command and S simultaneously to save the image to a file. After it is saved, it can be further manipulated with other software, or sent in an email.
