How to Adjust an iTunes Equalizer to More Bass
iTunes is a multi-platform media application by Apple. It acts as a media library, player, playlist editor and online media store, among other functions. It includes some basic tools for manipulating the volume and tone of music on playback. Chief among these is iTunes' built-in equalizer, which emulates the look and function of a standard hardware equalizer complete with frequency band and gain sliders. Adjusting different frequency bands simply involves moving the corresponding slider. You can adjust many elements of the overall sound this way, including bass gain.

1
Open iTunes. Once it loads, open the "Window" menu and choose "Equalizer" or click "View" followed by "Show Equalizer," depending on your iTunes interface. The iTunes equalizer will appear.
-
2
Click on the checkmark square labeled "On" to turn on the equalizer.

3
Open the equalizer's drop-down menu and choose "Bass Booster." This equalizer preset will suffice in many cases. If you want to boost the bass further, you will need to adjust the equalizer sliders yourself.
-
4
Adjust the three furthest-left sliders on the equalizer to adjust the bass. The equalizer consists of 10 sliders, each representing a particular frequency band within the range of human hearing. Increasing the 32, 64 and 125Hz sliders will boost the bass. Adjust these sliders to taste. Be careful when adjusting the lowest band, 32Hz. Frequencies this low can damage speakers if too loud.
