Instructions

Getting Started
-
1
Attach the tension arm to the knitting machine.
-
2
Find the yarn end on one of your skeins and unwrap the yarn into an empty box to avoid entanglements while the machine is knitting.
-
-
3
Pass the yarn through the tension arm and then directly into the feeder.
Making a Tube
-
4
Switch the dial to the circle position.
-
5
Hook the yarn onto the first needle on the right side.
-
6
Hold the loose end of the yarn from the back of the machine while turning the crank handle in a clockwise direction. This will allow for the machine to feed the yarn from the tension arm through the feeder to each needle.
-
7
Crank the handle until the desired length is reached, one completed turn equalling one knitted row. Let go of the loose end of the yarn after the yarn passes through a few needles.
Making a Rectangular Piece
-
8
Switch the dial to the square position.
-
9
Turn the crank handle in a clockwise direction until it stops, then place the yarn next to the needle above the feeder.
-
10
Turn the crank handle in a counter clockwise direction. Once it stops, continue in the opposite direction.
-
11
Continue turning the crank handle back and forth until the desired length is reached.
Finishing Off the Tube and Square
-
12
Finish off the beginning by taking the end of the yarn and passing it through the eye of the yarn needle.
-
13
Insert the right yarn needle in the first stitch from front to back underneath the left yarn needle.
-
14
Make a knot after passing through the last loop.
-
15
Finish off the ending by cutting the yarn within 15 inches from the tension arm and removing it.
-
16
Pass the end of the yarn through the eye of the needle, then turn the crank handle.
-
17
Feed the yarn with the yarn needle through the first loop as it drops. Once all loops are fed, make a knot and tie off after passing through the last loop.

Tips & Warnings
Keep at least 6 feet of unwrapped yarn to avoid any entanglements while the machine is knitting.
The triangle mark will help you to count lines.
Knit two extra lines when you start a project to have enough space to finish off.
When making a rectangular piece, not all needles will hook the yarn like they do when making a tube.
