How to Keep Green Peppers
Fresh green peppers have a crisp crunch when eaten raw. The light and almost airy consistency of the vegetable is a good addition to salads and vegetable plates. Raw green peppers are a very flavorful and healthy snack. Keeping green peppers fresh and crisp can be a tricky endeavor. While green peppers keep longer than leafy greens and other vegetables, they can get wrinkled, soggy and slimy if not stored properly. Does this Spark an idea?

Place the green pepper in the plastic baggy.

Fold the paper towel sheet into a small square and place it in the plastic baggy with the green pepper to soak up any extra moisture.

Put the baggy in the vegetable crisper part of the refrigerator.

Tips & Warnings
You can store yellow and red bell peppers in the same way.
If storing an already cut green pepper, leave the seeds on the part that is being stored to help soak up extra moisture.
You can also chop and freeze green peppers, which will keep for months.
Green peppers will keep in the refrigerator for one or two weeks.
If the green pepper is growing mold or slimy in the inside, it is no longer good.
