Jeans come in many different styles and cuts. Diesel is an Italian clothing company that specializes in high-end fashionable denim. It offers multiple cut options in its line of jeans to customize the fit of your jeans to your body type. The available cuts are carrot, skinny, straight and tapered. After deciding on a cut for your jeans, you need to measure your waist and inseam to know what your correct jean size is.

Pick the cut of denim that you think fits your body type best. The carrot cut from Diesel has a low crotch, low back pocket and legs that are wide at the top and tapered on bottom. The skinny cut has a short crotch and slim-cut legs. The straight cut has a normal crotch and straight legs. Finally, the tapered jeans from Diesel have a low crotch and legs that taper down from a normal fit to a skinny one.

Measure your waist with a fabric tape measure. Stand straight up and wrap the tape measure all the way around your waist where your pants normally sit. Keep one finger between the tape measure and your waist to make sure the measurement won’t be too tight.

Measure your inseam using a fabric tape measure. Put on a pair of pants that you know fit you well in terms of leg length. Measure them from the bottom of the crotch to the bottom of the leg and round the number to the nearest ½ inch.
