How to Install a Vault Lock
If you're interested in installing a vault lock in your home, then what you actually need to install is a vault door. You can place the vault door on the outside of a room to help protect all of the valuables inside. Once the door is locked, the inside of that room will literally become like a vault; the room will be much more difficult to access during a robbery or during an emergency, such as a home invasion. You can install the vault door yourself by using the appropriate methods. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Remove any hinges or other hardware from the door frame where you will install the vault door.
-
2
Get one or more friends to help you lift the vault door. Have at least one person on the inside of the room and give him a wrench as well as the inside frame materials that came with the vault door kit.
-
-
3
Lift the vault door and slide it into position in the door frame. Move one side and then the other just centimeters at a time, and make sure the outside frame is against the wall.
-
4
Place a level on the top of the vault door frame to make sure it's level.
-
5
Open the vault lock on the door. Once you've opened the lock, adjust the jack bolts to secure the door against the sides of the door frame. Open and close the vault door a few times and lock it at least once to make sure everything is even and level.
-
6
Close the door, and use the wrench and provided bolts and washers to install the inside frame pieces to the sides and top of the vault door. Keep the bolts loose at first.
-
7
Open and close the door to make sure the frame pieces aren't in the way. Then, close the door and tighten the bolts to complete the installation.
