How to Get Ampharos in "Sapphire"
Ampharos is a light-type Pokemon that is native to the Game Boy Advance game "Pokemon Emerald." It is the second evolved form of the sheeplike Pokemon Mareep. Neither Mareep nor Ampharos can be found in "Pokemon Sapphire," but this is common in "Pokemon" games. To successfully gather all Pokemon for your collection, you need various versions of the game, and you must trade Pokemon between these versions. Because Ampharos is not a "Legendary" Pokemon, it is fairly easy to obtain.
Instructions
-
-
1
Catch Mareep in the "Emerald" game. This Pokemon can be found in the first extension of the Safari Zone or in the Altering Cave.
-
2
Save and turn off your game, and then connect your cable to the Game Boys. Turn both systems on and go to any Pokemon Center.
-
-
3
Go to the second floor and enter the middle door to begin the trading process. You must have the same Pokedex and trading abilities in both games to trade Pokemon that are not in the standard Pokedex.
-
4
Select Mareep from the "Emerald" version and trade it with a Pokemon from the "Sapphire" version.
-
5
Use Mareep in battle until it reaches Level 15, which will cause it to evolve into Flaaffy. Fight with Flaaffy until you gain enough experience points to increase to Level 30. It will then complete its final evolution by turning into Ampharos.

Tips & Warnings
If you have the proper equipment to connect your Game Boy to a GameCube, there is one Mareep in the game "Pokemon: XD" that can be obtained and traded to your Game Boy games.
