How to Get Rid of the "Activate Today" in Windows 7
Each installation of Windows 7 requires an activation key, a unique number that verifies that you have a valid copy of the operating system. Windows 7 continues to display the "Activate Today" window until you type in your valid license key. To get rid of the window, use the Windows activation wizard to register your copy of the operating system.

Click "Start" and right-click the "Computer" option. Click "Properties" to open a system properties window.

Click "Activate Windows now" to open a Windows license screen. Click "Activate Windows online now." If you are not logged in as the administrator, a prompt opens for the password. Type the administrator password into the prompt and click "OK."
