How to Fasten a Friendship Bracelet
Children and teens often make friendship bracelets to show off their bonds and match the accessories with each other. The style and material that the bracelets are made from varies, depending on the tastes of the friends wearing them. To secure your bracelet, fasten a clasp to the stringing material your friendship bracelet is made from.

1
Cut the ends of the friendship bracelet's stringing material to the length you want.
-
2
String beads onto the bracelet as planned, or braid strands together and tie off the bracelet stringing material 1/4 inch from each end.
-
-
3
Knot one end to the small metal loop on one half of the lobster clasp and the other end to the loop on the other half of the lobster clasp.

4
Apply a dot of rubber cement to the knotted ends if you have chosen stretchy or plastic stringing material. Embroidery floss or twine bracelets do not need rubber cement.
