How to Disconnect From MSN
Disconnect yourself completely from Windows Live Messenger, formerly known as MSN Messenger, to protect the security of your account after you've used it from multiple locations and aren't sure whether or not you logged out. Change your password on the computer you're currently using to log yourself out of all other computers from which you accessed the program -- at an Internet café or a friend's home, for example -- then log out on the computer you're using.

Log out of your account in the browser, then log out of Windows Live Messenger if you're using it. The software automatically logs off your account on any other computers on which you accidentally stayed logged in.
