How to Install Skins for Weather Widgets

You can use weather widgets to check what the weather will be like.

A weather widget is a small program that runs in the background. It is updated -- normally once daily -- to show the current weather patterns in the area. Weather widgets are available for most computers, including smart phones. Change the look of the widget by installing skins. Skins change the appearance of the application, but do not change the actual program.

Things You'll Need

• Computer
• Smart Phone
• Internet

Instructions

1. Open your weather widget application.

2. Open the options menu and scroll to "Preferences." If using a smart phone, press and hold on the icon to see the menu. On a computer, the menu will be along the top toolbar.

3. Select "skin downloader." Navigate to the skin you desire and click "download" to begin downloading the chosen skin to your device.

Installing Skin

1. Navigate to your downloads folder within the application. On a computer, this will be a tab on the application window. On a smartphone, press and hold until the list of options appears, then select the downloads menu.

2. Select the downloaded skin, and confirm installation.

3. Allow the skin to install, then confirm if you wish to use the new skin.

Tips & Warnings

• You can delete and change your skins by navigating to the installed and downloaded folders in your widget application.
