How to Embed a Flash FLV Video in a Facebook Fan Page

Embed a video in Flash's FLV format into a Facebook fan page to allow users to play the video without leaving the fan page. The best-known place to find FLV videos is on YouTube, where they are already embedded within a Web page, making posting easy. If the video you want to embed isn't already uploaded to a website, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo and attach a link to the page where the video is hosted to a post on the page's Facebook wall.

Instructions

    • 1

Upload the video to a free video-hosting website, such as YouTube or Vimeo. Sign in to your account or register for a new one -- for YouTube, use Google account credentials. Vimeo allows you to log in with Facebook and upload the video to the site.

Open the video in your browser within its YouTube or Vimeo page once it has uploaded. Double-click within the browser's address bar, then right-click and select "Copy."
