How to Remove Yourself as a Friend on Someone's Facebook Wall Without Blocking Them

Facebook is a social networking website that helps users maintain contact with friends and family. Unfortunately, communicating over the Internet, rather than face-to-face, does not preclude people from arguing or falling out with each other. You may have decided not to be friends any longer with someone on Facebook, but fear that blocking them completely will make the situation worse. It is possible to "unfriend" a Facebook contact, but still allow them access to you. With any luck, they will one day use that access to extend an olive branch.
