How to Code a New Line in WordPress
Wordpress template files do not always have the spacing you'd like to see on the site. Adding additional lines into the WordPress document can elongate the site, giving it the type of display you'd like to use. Coding a new line requires only a basic text editor and very little HTML knowledge.

Open your WordPress template file in a text editor, such as Windows Notepad.

Scroll to the line in the document where you'd like to add a new line. For example, below the "header" element to add a new line directly below the site's header.

Press "Enter" to type on a new line, then type "<br/>" without quotation marks. Press "Enter" again.

Click "File," then "Save" to save your update.
