Instructions

    • 1

Unplug your Whirlpool dryer and pull it about a foot away from the wall.

    • 2

Unfasten the mounting screws that hold the cover of the control panel on your Whirlpool dryer with a screwdriver. Put the screws in your pocket to avoid misplacing them and for quick access when replacing the control panel.

    • 3

Remove the cover of the control panel and locate the buzzer, a small, plastic black component with two wires.

    • 4

Grasp each wire, one at a time with a pair of pliers, and unplug each from the buzzer. On some Whirlpool models, you might have to cut the wires with wire cutters.

    • 5

Wrap the ends of each wire with electrical tape then replace the control panel cover and push your Whirlpool dryer back into place. Plug the appliance into the electrical outlet and use as normal. The buzzer will no longer sound at the end of a drying cycle.
