Let the new driveway cure for four weeks before applying a sealant. Remove any vehicles parked on the driveway.

    • 2

Spray the driveway from the top to the bottom with a 3000 PSI power washer. A new construction aggregate will probably not be stained, but if it is, spot scrub the stains with concrete cleaner according to the package directions. Rinse the cleanser with the power washer.

Let the aggregate air dry for 24 hours. Do not try to seal a wet driveway.

Open the sealer and stir it with a paint stirrer. Dip a 1 1/4 nap paint roller with a long handle into the sealer.

    • 5

Apply the sealer in long, even strokes down the aggregate driveway. Work across the width of the driveway, overlapping strokes.

    • 6

Back-brush the strokes by rolling the roller horizontally across your vertical strokes. Continue applying the sealer in vertical strokes down the driveway and back-brushing with horizontal strokes until you cover the entire driveway.
