How to Downgrade Utorrent 2.0 to 1.8.5

The uTorrent client, currently at version 3.0 as of July 2011, can be downgraded just by installing an older version of the software.

Download uTorrent 1.8.5. Some websites, such as OldApps.com, keep archived versions of software.

Double-click the file and follow the install prompts. Utorrent will now run the older version of the software.

Click "Options" then "Preferences" and select the "General" tab. Uncheck the box for "Check for Updates Automatically." This ensures that the program does not update to a newer version.
