How to Hook up a Turtle Beach X11 to a Laptop
The Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 is a headset designed to work with the Xbox 360 system, but you can also use it to listen to your sound output from a PC or laptop. To correctly connect the headset, you'll need to locate the appropriate ports on the laptop and insert the corresponding headset plug. The headset connectors are color coordinated to help you ensure you are using the right one.

Check the sides and back of your laptop to locate the two 3.5 mm audio ports. One port should have an image of a speaker or headphones next to it, and the other will have the image of a microphone.

Plug the green, circular connector at the end of the X11's cable into the port that has the image of a speaker or headphones. Plug the pink, circular connector into the port that has the image of the microphone.

Plug the USB connector on the end of the headset's cable into an available USB port on your computer.

Right-click the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of your desktop. Choose "Playback Devices." Select the X11 headset from the list and click the "Set Default" button. Repeat this process, but choose "Recording Devices" from the pop-up menu, instead of "Playback Devices."

Tips & Warnings
When your X11 headset is connected to your laptop, the "Chat Volume" dial on the headset's amplifier will not function. Audio volume will solely be controlled by the "Game Audio Volume" dial.
