How to Format a PNY Memory Stick
PNY memory sticks allow you to take your files on the go in an easy to carry USB format. Should you encounter problems with your memory stick, sometimes the easiest fix is to format it. Common problems include viruses, fragmented files, permanently locked files and conflicts between memory stick applications and your computer. Another reason to format is to clean the memory stick before using it for a new project or giving it to someone else to use. Windows makes it easy to format your PNY memory stick without any additional software.

Tips & Warnings
If you wish to use a different file system, research your options first to determine which is best for your needs. For instance, NTFS usually allows larger individual file sizes, but may not work as fast as FAT or FAT32.
Do not remove your PNY memory stick until the format is complete. This typically takes less than two to three minutes.
