How to Export Birthdays in ICS on Facebook

Exporting your Facebook birthdays allows you to keep track away from Facebook.

The iCalendar file format is a type of data file used and supported in a number of calendar applications, such as iCal, Google Calendars and Outlook. Through the Birthday Export feature, Facebook allows you to export the birthdays of your Facebook friends in iCalendar form to these applications. If you want to export your Facebook birthdays to your calendar application, you can do so in a few steps.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Facebook account. Click the "Events" tab on the left side of your Facebook home page, then click the "Birthdays" link at the bottom of the Events page.

2. Click the "Export Birthdays" link at the bottom of the Birthdays page and click the link provided in the pop-up window that appears. Grant your browser permission to launch your calendar application when prompted.

3. Confirm that you want to export the Facebook birthdays into your calendar application. Type a name for the calendar in the space provided and click "OK" to add the Facebook birthdays to your calendar.
