How to Use a WGR614 as a Bridge
The WGR614 series of wireless routers was one of Netgear's best sellers during its production lifetime due to its low price and general feature set. The WGR614 series used the 802.11g wireless standard with a maximum wireless transfer speed of 54 megabits per second. 802.11g has since been replaced by the newer 802.11n standard, which is capable of much faster speeds. However, the WGR614 can still be used in a network as a wireless bridge, which extends the signal range of the wireless network.

Connect an Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on a computer to one of the "LAN" ports on the WGR614.

Open a Web browser, and then type "192.168.1.1" without quotes into the address bar. Press "Enter."

Type "admin" for the user name, and "password" for the password. Press "Enter."

Click "LAN IP Setup" in the left column.

Click to uncheck "Use Router as DHCP Server."

Click "Apply."

Connect an Ethernet cable between one of the "LAN" ports on the WGR614 and an available "LAN" port on another router. This completes the bridging and all devices connected to the WGR614 will have their communications passed to the second router.
