How to Speed Up a 802.11g Router
Wireless networks using the 802.11g wireless standard are capable of transmitting data at a maximum rate of 54 megabits per second. However, obtaining the full transmission speed of the 802.11g standard requires ideal circumstances, such as a clear and short distance between the sender and the receiver. In most cases, you can speed up an 802.11g-based wireless network by changing settings in the router and possibly moving the router to a better location.

-
3
Enter the router's user name and password, if applicable.
