How to Increase the Size of the Left Column on Facebook
Facebook is a social networking website that has gained worldwide popularity with its ability to allow users to share information and exchange ideas with other users. Since its page layout is fairly uniform, resizing the left column only is not possible. However, resizing the entire page is a simple process, regardless of whether you use Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer as your Internet Browser.

Mozilla Firefox

Open your Facebook account.

Click on the "Firefox" tab found in the upper left corner of most versions.

Scroll down to "Options," then click on the second "Options" selection. This will open a new window.

Click on the "Content" tab at the top of the new window. In the middle of the window will be a section that reads "Fonts & Colors." The default font in most versions of Firefox is Times New Roman, and the default size is 16.

Click on size, and scroll the desired option. This will increase the font size, as well as the size of the entire column, in the left column on Facebook.

Repeat steps until reaching desired size.
Internet Explorer

Open your Facebook account.

Click on the "Page" link, which is found in the upper right corner in most versions of Internet Explorer.

Scroll down to the option that reads "Text Size." This will give the following options: "Largest," "Larger," "Medium," "Smaller" and "Smallest." The default setting in most versions of Internet Explorer is "Medium."

Change font to desired size, increasing or decreasing the left column in Facebook in the process.

Repeat steps until the left column in Facebook is the size you wish.

Tips & Warnings
A shortcut to increasing the page size in both Firefox and Internet Explorer is to hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard. While pressing the key, press "+" to zoom in and "-" to zoom out.
Make sure to remember the default settings in your browser window. This will allow you to return to the normal settings once you have finished changing the size on the left column of your Facebook page.
