  • Laundry detergent
  • Bleach
  • Newspaper

      Take the laces out of the sneakers and place both sneakers and laces in the washer.

      Turn on a warm water wash and add your regular detergent along with 1/4 cup bleach.

      Let the wash cycle complete; the combination of detergent and bleach cleans and disinfects.

      Remove the laces and sneakers from the washer. Lay the laces flat to dry. Stuff newspaper into the sneakers so they hold their shape. Allow everything to air dry.
