How to Frost a Marble Cake
Many people have a difficult time deciding whether to serve a white cake or a chocolate cake at parties and events, which is why many opt instead to serve a marble cake. It's a win-win choice for most everyone. A marble cake combines the flavors of both a white cake and a chocolate cake into one. It is made by pouring white cake batter into a baking pan and placing chocolate over the white batter and swirling it in with a knife or other utensil. Bake your marble cake and let it cool completely before attempting to frost it. Remove the cake from the cake pan after it cools and place it on the serving tray or cake dish you want to serve it on.

Scoop approximately 1 cup of frosting onto the top of the marble cake. You can use a knife or a spoon to do this.

Spread the frosting evenly over the top of the cake and down the sides. You can use a butter knife, spatula or frosting knife to do this. Frosting knives are available in the cake baking section of any craft or grocery store.
