Making bread at home can be much simpler than it is for a commercial bakery.

Bread machines, such as those manufactured by Welbilt, have made it possible for the home baker to be able to make artisan bread in their own home. Start off with some dough, yeast, water and a few other ingredients, close the lid, set the dial and walk away. Come back later and you have warm bread for everyone to enjoy.   • Welbilt Bread Machine
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Clean towel
  • Bread ingredients

Instructions

      Open the lid and remove the baking pan, which pulls straight up, from the Welbilt Bread Machine. Remove the kneading blade. Wash the baking pan and kneading blade with liquid dish soap. Rinse well and dry with a clean cloth.

      Reattach the kneading blade to the baking pan along the shaft inside the pan. Check to make sure that the kneading blade is secure.

      Add the bread recipe ingredients to the baking pan.

      Insert the baking pan into the Welbilt Bread Machine. Push down on the pan until you feel it click into place. Push the handle of the baking pan to the side.

      Close the lid of the Welbilt Bread Machine. Plug the bread maker in.

      Choose the correct setting for your recipe by pressing the "Menu" button. Press "Menu" until you find the right setting on the digital display.

      Determine how dark you want the bread to be by pressing the "Color" button; you will be given a choice of "Light," "Medium" or "Dark." Press the "Color" button until your choice appears.

      Press the "Loaf" button to select what size you want the bread to be. Depending on your model, you will have a choice of "1.0 lb.," "1.5 lb." or "2.0 lb." Press the "Loaf" button until your selection appears.

      Push the "Timer" button if you wish to delay the start of the Welbilt Bread Machine; you can delay the start up to 13 hours.

      Press the "Start/Stop" button to start the bread machine; the display will count down the minutes until the bread is done. Listen for the beep, which will sound five times to indicate that the baking process is complete.

      Remove the bread from the Welbilt Bread Machine using oven mitts. Unplug the machine.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Welbilt Bread Machine has a "Keep Warm" feature that starts immediately after the bread is finished. It will run for one hour after baking and circulate warm air throughout the machine. The machine will beep every five minutes during this cycle as a reminder that the bread is ready.
