Sleeveless shirts are must-haves for summer.

When summer arrives, you will need trendy shirts to look and stay cool. Instead of spending cash on buying sleeveless shirts, take matters into your own hands. You can transform any of your t-shirts or long-sleeve shirts into a stylish sleeveless shirt. Raid your closet and find a shirt that needs to be updated and would look cute as a sleeveless shirt, then pull out your scissors and get to work.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the t-shirt on the table. Flatten it out with your hand.

    • 2

Decide if you want to cut the seam. Leaving the seam makes the shirt look polished. Removing the seam will give you a more rugged look but may be more comfortable.

    • 3

Align your scissors so it's just a little bit past the seam of the sleeve. Cut the sleeve off using an even motion so you don't have any ragged edges. Repeat this process on the opposite side.

    • 4

Decide if you want to make other alterations. If you want to draw focus to your neck or nape of your neck, cut the collar off the neck of the shirt in a rounded shape. Or cut a V-shape into the collar of the shirt. Or another option is to cut a vertical line (as long as you like) from the collar down so the fabric falls naturally to the sides.

    • 5

Cut the bottom edge of your shirt if you like. Flip the shirt inside out. Fold the bottom raw edge about ½ inch up and pin. Sew the bottom edge of the shirt to create a new seam.
