Instructions

  1. Plastic Headbands

    • 1

Clean the headband thoroughly with a little bit of soap and water. Dry it with a paper towel and then let it air dry completely for 20 to 30 minutes.

    • 2

Measure about 1 1/2 inches to the left or right of the top center of the headband. Spread some strong craft glue or superglue on the headband at this spot.

    • 3

Apply a little bit of extra glue to the back of the silk flower.

    • 4

Press the flower firmly over top of the glue and hold it in place for 20 to 30 seconds.

    • 5

Let the glue dry for at least 30 minutes before wearing the headband.

    Fabric Headbands

    • 6

Measure 1 1/2 inches to the left or right of the top center of the headband. Place the flower on the headband at this spot.

    • 7

Insert a sewing pin through the headband fabric and the flower to hold the two pieces together.

    • 8

Thread a needle with 12 inches of thread. Pull on the thread to make the ends equals length and tie the ends of the thread in a knot.

    • 9

Insert the sewing needle through the fabric underneath the flower and into the silk flower.

    • 10

Continue adding a few stitches through the flower and headband around the center of the flower. Knot the thread.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also attach a silk flower to a fabric headband with glue. Spread a little bit of fabric glue on the back of the flower and press it firmly to the headband. Let the glue dry according to the glue manufacturer's instructions.
