If you have tinsel decorations from last holiday season that look like they are missing a little dazzle and glitter, then you can fill in the missing spaces with new pieces of tinsel. 1
Load a hot glue stick in the back of your hot glue gun.
-
2
Plug the gun into a power outlet.
-
-
3
Wait about 5 minutes. This gives the glue a few minutes to warm up. In the meantime, spread out new tinsel pieces on a flat workspace.
-
4
Pick up 1-3 strands of tinsel much like you would 1-3 pieces of string. Make sure the pieces are evenly gathered.
-
5
Squeeze a dot of glue on a tinsel banner or garland strip that is missing tinsel. Immediately press the tinsel you have gathered into the glue. Allow the glue to dry. Apply more glue and more tinsel if needed. This same process can be adapted to other decorations that have tinsel -- such as a bow, wreathe or holiday tree ornament.
