Christmas trees begin popping up in American living rooms around Thanksgiving nowadays, but in Poland trimming the tree together on Christmas Eve is an integral part of the holiday Celebration. As dusk falls and the first star appears in the sky, the tree lights are lit and dinner is served.

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Set aside time Christmas Eve day to trim the tree.
Step2
Play carols and let everyone in the house help.
Step3
Decorate the tree with lights and your favorite ornaments. For more a more traditional tree, include glass blown ornaments made in Poland, available in specialty shops or directly from Poland via the Internet. Traditional Polish trees can also be decked with fruit, wrapped candy, angel hair, and paper or foil chains.
