Instructions

    • 1

Fill your bath tub with moderately warm water and pour a cap full of bubble bath into the water. Agitate the water with your hand so bubbles begin to form. Place bath toys in the water.

    • 2

Undress your child and put him into the water. Allow him to play in the bubble bath with the bath toys. Engage your child in conversation; ask about how their day was and what their favorite toy is. Many parents find bath time is a great time of day to communicate and connect with their children.

Allow the warm water to relax your child, as you quickly wash their body. Many parents like to clean their child quickly, to leave more time for playing in the water. Although the purpose of bath time is to get your child clean, it can also be fun.

Sing to your child while you are bathing him. Singing can make the experience even more enjoyable. Make bath time into an adventure, using both of your imaginations. If you have time, read them a story while they play. Rather than dreading bath time, children may relax and look forward to the experience.
