How to Backup Favorites When Formatting
Internet Explorer, the browser from Microsoft, offers the ability to mark websites that you'd like to return to in the future. Explorer dubs these your "Favorites." Since formatting your hard drive wipes it clean, you must back up your Favorites if you want to keep them. To back up favorites when formatting, use the export feature. Once you export your Favorites to a file, you can burn the file to a disc, copy and paste it to a flash drive or email it to yourself.
