How to Replace the Foot Control Cord on a Husqvarna

Husqvarna is known for manufacturing lawn tools such as chainsaws, leaf blowers and lawn trimmers. However the Viking division of the Husqvarna company also makes sewing machines. These sewing machines use a foot pedal to activate the sewing head. The foot pedal cord runs from the pedal and plugs into a jack on the back of the sewing machine. If the cord develops a short, it may keep the pedal from working and will have to be replaced. Does this Spark an idea?
